Drawn Together Submissions

Drawn Together Exhibition, Art Work Greengate, December 2014

After a great success with International Women’s Day, ArtAnon has returned with it’s next community project, Drawn Together. With sponsor from O2 Big Fund we have held eight drawing workhops in and around Manchester and created an impressive 20 metres of drawing!

With this project, as part of the Big Draw festival, we have taught some alternative approaches to drawing and encouraged people to pick up a pen and have a good doodle – and most importantly have fun!

So far we have worked with Nexus Art Cafe, North City Library, John Rylands Library, Rainbow Haven, Newton Heath Library, WomenMATTA and Levenshulme Inspire.

We are now taking submissions from professionals, students and aspiring artists alike, to display work alongside this community created artwork. We are looking for submissions of drawing work in any medium.

The work will be displayed at Art Work, a newly refurbished studio and exhibition space in Salford from 11th December to 20th:

This is a fantastic warehouse space meaning there are very few dimension restrictions!

Please email submissions to artanonmanchester@hotmail.co.uk including:

  • Up to 4 images
  • Up to 150 words about you and your practice
  • Availability between dates Wednesday 10th December to Sunday 21st December
  • Dimensions and details of any other requirements

This exhibition is free to take part in however as a not-for-profit group ArtAnon will need artists to contribute to invigilating the space. A rota will be created to ensure given shifts will be no longer than 3 or 4 hours.
